Internet Orders for Books

Hey friends!

I just wanted to let you know, there are many ways you can order, "I Sit In A Wheelchair...But I Will Be Okay" Internet is prehaps one of the best. Stores such as www.amazon.com and www.barnesandnoble.com have our book on the website. Customers can order it in one click of the mouse. Taxes and shipping are already figured in, and you get the order fast. (Think Amazon's Free Saver Shipping on orders over $25.00)

If you would like to preorder with me, you may do that. You tell me how many boos you would like, send me a check for the shipping and the boos, asnd you will get the books.

I expecte to have some signings as soon as Old Man Winter gets finished with us. Michelle and I LOVE to visit with people.

As always, if you would like to contact me for a signing or a talk at your school, I would love that as well. Good things are happening for the future of Penny Brown. More later!

Thank-you all so much for supporting Michelle and I in this endeavor.

My talk with Cindy Morrison

Hey everyone!

Hope you have been enjoying the extreme cold we have been having. Things have been pretty slow with Penny Brown and the wheelchair book lately. Michelle and i would LOVE to do a signing somewhere soon. The weather has been awful though, making it hard for us to get together and sign books. Our next scheduled signing is March 11th, 2011 at the Fort Smith Public Library in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Michelle and i will be featured in the "Authors in the Afternoon" series. I am very excited about that.

Since we are not signing as many books these days, I try to get the word out about my wheelchair book through interviews. I would like to thank Mrs. Cindy Morrison for taking the time to talk to me earlier this month. For those of you who do not know, Mrs. Morrison used to be a TV journalist, but has not turned into an euterperner, speaker, and she loves social media sites. Mrs. Morrison keeps quite busy. She gave me some great tips that will lead to bigger book sales (Hopefully) in the future.

The day after I chatted with Mrs. Morrison, I had the opportunity to be a guest on Janet Powers Blog Talk Radio show, "The Diva Toolbox." It was fun promoting my book as well as my upcoming events with Cindy and Janet. If you haven't checked out Cindy Morrison's book, it's called "Girlfriends 2.0" and it is sold in bookstores, such as www.amazon.com

So, if there are any authors feeling discouraged over lack of book sales or signings, especially during the winter months, please realize there are things that you can do to keep yourself going. When I am not busy promoting Penny, I am working on a short story, or constantly looking for publishers. Hard work will pay off in the long run.

See you next time!

Happy New Year!!!

Ahhh......The second day of a brand new year. How has it been so far? I plan on making 2011 the best year yet as far as Penny Brown goes. Hopefully by fall (or maybe sooner) we can get book #2 in the Penny Brown Series out. Some of you have asked me what it is about. While I hesitate to give it away completely, here is a hint for parents. If you ever have gone through a devastating illness with your family or someone you know, this book is for you. The children will love it.

As I mentioned in a previous post, Michelle and i have several signings for "I Sit in A Wheelchair....But I Will Be Okay" lined up for March, April, and May. If anyone you know would like us to come and read to your school/church groups or anything, please let me know. My e-mail is taz_lover74330@yahoo.com Michelle and I are free anytime in January or February.

I just looked on the rankings for "I Sit in a Wheelchair...But I Will be Okay". We are 167,106. That is a low number, and the lower the better. (The low numbers means people are buying, and in turn that is great for us as well as Strategic). So, if anyone has not purchased a copy, now would be a great time to do so.

Here are a few of my personal writing goals for 2011:

1. I say this every year, but never do it. This year, I am going to stick to some sort of daily writing routine, and stick to it. With life the way it is, I can't always work from 9-5, but I plan to devote at least three hours a day to writing Penny Brown stories as well as some new short stories.

2. I am going to devote at least six hours a week to finding publishers for my work.

3. I am going to write fifteen letters a week for my new book, "Letters Home"

It seems I have been very lax about my writing habits, so I thought now would be the time to practice them. It takes 7 days to form a routine and 21 days to break old habits, so we will see how I do.

In closing, Thank-you all for buying copies of "I Sit in a Wheelchair..But I Will Be Okay." Your continued support means a lot to Michelle and I. We appreciate you! Have a very Happy New Year!!!
